Morrell Park Elementary Middle SOAR Mural

During the 2018 Access Art summer program, instructor McKinley Wallace designed a College and Career readiness mural for the front entrance of Morrell Park Elementary Middle School incorporating student created photographs of themselves as graduates and professionals in the future. The design used the school S.O.A.R motto (Safe, Organized, Attentive, and Respectful) as well as a list of careers students could become once graduating high school to inspire youth who enter the school each day. Students from Access Art helped paint the mural through the summer and the project was made possible by an Impact Fund grant from ARTS EVERYDAY. (Additional funding for the Access Art summer program was made by The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, The Abell Foundation, and Care First Blue Cross Blue Shield)
